Next we were off to
Winter Quarters, Nebraska
where I have some ancestors who lived there during the
exodus from Nauvoo to Utah.
They have a lovely visitors center there and they were hosting
a gingerbread celebration...
In the visitors center is a replica of the odometer
which is of interest to me because...
...my great-great grandfather built it.
His name is Appleton Harmon
Ron and I attended the temple there
but it was too cold to walk around the cemetery
where I believe a few of my ancestors relatives were buried.
The temple workers here were so very nice!
