It's Tradition!

Each year we get together with our neighbors,
Joseph and Barbara Friedrich and their boys,
to sing Christmas carols around the piano.
It was Barbara's idea and for years we did it around their grand piano!
Back in the day we usual did this on Christmas Eve.
As their boys have grown and ours have left the nest, we still get together.
Now it's at our house and we often decorate gingerbread something or other!
Often times we include dinner, but not this  year.
For many years now we've included others as well.
This year was the earliest in the season for this tradition because we left town on the 16th.

This year included the Friedrich's (minus Karl in the marines),
the Wallace's, the Beardsley's and the Wood's!

We tried something new - gingerbread men instead of houses - much easier!

Everyone has a list of Christmas songs and words.
Everyone chooses a favorite and we all sing it!
There are other musical numbers as well!

We are ALWAYS glad we take the time for this tradition!
Love to you, our friends!
