Hancock Family Reunion

Ron and I were at the Hancock Family Reunion in southern California during the month of July. I was a horrible picture taker but a great conversationalist - did a lot of visiting and catching up on Ron's side of the family. Grandma Cheney (Ron's mom) is a Hancock, the oldest of 5 children and out of those 5 children only one in-law is left - that would be Aunt Vi (and she was there of course). There were about 40 people there and we had a WONDERFUL time!!!! Ron's cousins, Aaron and Jerry Todd hosted the event - it was spendid!

We spent time at this great park!

Ashley and Brittney Snyder drove down with their grandparents, George and Ellen Drysdale.

They had a fun time getting a frisbe out of the tree!

Nathan's twins and friend, Jessica
The park had these great bikes. Ron and I rode around on a bicycle built for 2 - no pics of that - probably a good thing.

Part of the gathering. Jerry and Todd hosted a wonderful luncheon at the park.

And then Jerry and Aaron hosted a grand dinner at the fabulous hotel we stayed at! Aunt Vi is in the middle wearing blue and black

Aunt Ellen set up several tables full of genealogy and pictures and she gave a wonderful presentation. Then everybody told stories of their parents/grand-parents.

Here's another table full of cousins!

You may recognize the Lawrence family here.

Aunt Ellen and Uncle George

Uncle Jerry - sorry it's such a bad picture but it's all I have. While we were having breakfast with him one morning, he got a call from his employer who gave him a new job - and they're moving from Utah to the Boston area.

Aaron Todd. Unfortunately Malia was not able to come because her father had just passed away. In fact, Aaron and Todd and a few others drove to Nevada and back for the funeral. Whew!
Looking forward to the next reunion in 2012 at Bryce Canyon!
