Happy 17th Birthday JUSTON

On Friday night we went to the movies with Juston and serveral of his friends to see IRON MAN. Notice the name - I-Ron Man - he takes after Ron! Juston wanted angel food cake with strawberries and whipping cream so I cut up 2 angel food cakes and mixed it together with fresh strawberry puree and fresh whipping cream - didn't look too good but it tasted great!


On Saturday morning which was his birthday, we woke a little early because Michael had to get to work. It's tradition - you open your presents first thing in the morning - he was a little tired, hence the laying down version.

He was very happy to receive his very own shaver, some clothes, a new pair of running shoes, his new summer outfit (swim suit, flip-flops and beach towel) for life-guarding, and new tie that he wore today.

On the day that he could choose anything he wanted to eat - he chose German pancakes for breakfast and homemade Mac and Cheese with brocolli for dinner... we added homemade rolls and hot fudge sundaes - yum! One of his best non-events of the day was NO SATURDAY CHORES!
