Ron and I had a "get-away"
to visit our friends in Charleston, SC
before they move to Heber City, Utah.
We'll see them more in Utah but we had never been to Charleston
and we had to check it out!
David and Alice Stroud were wonderful hosts!
Here is their lovely home!
Here are the lovely hosts!
Ron and I were feeling rather "free!"
Kayakers (we were not among them but it sure looks fun)
They had lots of these swings - we were fortunate to find one unoccupied!

It was a beautiful 80 degree day!
It was the Saturday before Veteran's Day
and we just happened to run into this awesome parade!
Lucky for us!
Alice was one very enthusiastic cheerleader on the side!
That woman supports our troops!
We appreciate our servicemen and women!
Typical tourists aren't we?
Awesome view of this very old church
Here it is from the other side
Typical walkways between buildings

I did not get a picture of Rainbow Row
The restaurant we chose for lunch
It's called Poogan's Porch
This drawing was on the brick wall adjacent to the restaurant.
The story - Poogan, the dog, lived here...
...and died here.
The horse and buggy went by as we were waiting to be seated.

The food was ok but the company was great!
Off to the beach we went - in November!
And it was crowded!
We stayed out of the sun and chatted for quite awhile!
My man, Ron, on the beach!
We stayed for church the next day and then drove home!
Thanks Stroud's for a GREAT weekend!
