The King and I

2 weeks with King can be pretty fun. 

Here's a sampling of the things we did!

 

You build things, anything!

 While we were talking he started building

and he did a REALLY GOOD JOB

at getting them to stack and stay.

 

Then grandpa started helping and it really got fun!

Eventually grandpa taught him how to THROW the paper towels

and King has a really good arm, so we were taking cover.

Thanks Grandpa!

 

King loves Fisher Price Trio Blocks

and we can build them in many, many ways.

Check out our creativity!

 He says "ta-da" after every creation

and sometimes along the way.

It's so cute!

 

 Peek a boo

 

 Try putting the fire truck on top of the building.

See, anything is possible.

 

I think we made a few creations

Every. Single. Day. for 2 weeks!

 

We are Fort builders!!!

 This couch turns into a great fort. 

See...

You can roll balls back and forth,

climb in and out,

throw balls and such on top of the blanket and bounce them off

with your feet or your head or whatever.

Or you can just play "peek a boo".

 

The cousins can come for a visit

(his personal favorite past time)

 This is King and Tyler running back and forth with pillows

"getting grandma".

Or maybe I was getting them!

Or you can go to play with cousins...

He gets so excited to go see his cousins and he never wants to leave!

 

It's fun to try on baby Clive's clothes!

 That was his idea of course!

 

King absolutely loved watching grandma sew

He would stand on something by the sewing machine

and watch (but not touch).

I would hand him the sharp pins (which he loved)

and he would put them on the magnetic pin cushion.

 He thought this car seat cover was a blanket for him.

You see, everything revolves around him, right?

Watching your new little brother get a bath was quite entertaining!

 

After a week of having a new baby around

King decided he would hold him

for about 2 seconds.

That was enough.  Ha-ha!

 

When I first asked King if that was his brother Clive,

he said, "No, that's my present!"

 

We read lots of books and

had a blast!

 

Grandchildren are the best!
