We usually send out our holiday greeting in December
but for 2013 we're sending it out in the month of LOVE
to include our newest grandson.
This is the first time I've put it on the blog...
Happy 2014 to ALL!
The Ron and Karie
Cheney Family Annual Greeting!
We could call this greeting 10
months early or we could call it 2 months late.
Let’s call it “perfectly timed” to
present grandchild number 8.
Since our last poem we’ve also had
grandchild 6 and 7
Plus a new daughter-in-law whose a
little slice of heaven.
It all started in the month of LOVE,
Ron and Karie became a family, no
more solo.
Now we’re a family of 19, 8 girls
and 11 boys
And each one is a treasure, oh the
happiness and joys!
A child of God, potential galore, a
spark of divinity.
And so it is with all mankind, each
person has great value.
Each has a name, a story, a cause
and a desire to be true.
Clive's Blessing Day - if you're counting, there is one missing
To keep things in order we will start
from the top.
Ron is the patriarch. We’ll call him Pop.
He is the handy man everywhere he
goes
And still sells real estate making
houses “close.”
Since our last greeting Karie has been to Utah 6 times.
3 babies, a wedding and holidays,
all told here in rhyme.
No complaints here. Since all our children live away
We go where they are to work, visit
and play.
They have 4 children now and I’ve
never heard them scream!
Brad is still the computer guy at
Ancestory.com
And Karon is of course an extremely
busy mom.
I guess they don’t offer French or
Finnish in their town.
This girl is helpful, kind, sweet
and especially prized.
This coming fall she will have the
pleasure of being baptized.
And if you ask him what he wants,
it’s more, more, more…
Lego’s that is. He can focus for hours
Building people, cars, planes,
houses and towers!
Her personality just bubbles over
with it, as you can see.
She’s not the youngest in her family
anymore
She has a new sister but Audrie is
still adored!
By her siblings, Ashlyn, Carter and
Audrie who love her so.
She’s another blue eyed wonder who
smiles most of the time.
Growing up fast when Grandma’s not
around should be a crime.
Haddie Elise May
Home ownership is a pleasure but
also keeps them busy.
At Intermountain Health Care Bryon works
each day.
Kari cooks great meals and teaches
sweet boys to obey.
You could put him in school right
now and he’d have a great start.
But he stays home and plays with his
new little brother
And keeps learning a lot from his
wonderful mother.
He’s not little any more. His parent’s have sore backs, that’s clear.
At 11 months old, Blake Joseph Cheney is 28 pounds!
He has an angelic personality and mimics
sounds.
Mason and Lorie are exceptionally blessed.
He works for Altera and can take
care of any pest.
Lorie has her Pantone Pearl shop at
etsy.com
And with a new addition is a very
busy mom.
King has become the big brother at 2 ½
His antics are adorable. Come by for a laugh.
“Mr. friendly” is his nick-name and
many of you know
He’s happy when you come and sad
when you go.
The most recent addition to our growing
family tree
Is Clive Staples Warr, born the end of January.
Yes, named after C.S. Lewis, an
author adored.
With King as his brother, he will
never be bored!
Michael is in their music department – WOW!
Helping in the music lab, rehearsing
for VoiceLine,
Singing in the Men’s Chorus… he’s
busy all the time.
Juston married Madeline and we call her Maddy
It all happened in August and
they’re as happy as can be!
They live in Rexburg where they both
work and learn
While going to BYU-I where their
degrees they will earn.
Juston and Maddy
Married August 14, 2013 in the Salt Lake Temple
The weekend before the wedding we
all got away
For a family reunion, at the Johnson
cabin we stayed.
We hiked and played and boated at Bear Lake
Relaxed with no cell phones and ate
raspberry shakes.
Well that’s the summary of our
growing family.
Each son and daughter is well. We are pleased.
Every grandchild is in a home full of
learning and love.
We give thanks to our Heavenly
Father above.
