Lorie designed some shelves for the study/baby room to maximize the space in there.
It was a process.
Ron helped her decide how much wood she needed.
They bought the long pieces of board and brought it over to the condo.
In the freezing temps she primmed both sides in the garage
with heaters going.
The next day she painted both sides
being careful not to get the 8 month prego tummy painted white.
See those long white boards in the background, nicely painted and dried?
Then the next day they rented a saw.
Ron and Mason cut everything in the 4 hour rental time slot.
Then they put them together in sections, 4 sections to be exact...
and drove them over to their place.
Of course, King had fun with them.
This is the section that went above the door.
She is really maximing the space!
This big section could fit down the hallway but not make the turn into the doorway.
Oops!
We left it for the night - we all had places to go.

The next day Mason's parents helped them put it through the window.
Wish we had a picture of that!
They had put the bead-board up previously and had the walls all painted.
Mason secured the 4 sections to the wall.
Section 1 - the 4 shelves on the left
Section 2 - the 4 shelves on the right
Section 3 - the huge section above the desk
Section 4 - the small section above the door.
Brilliant!
They had planned all along to put Lorie's desk (that Ron made)
in between the shelves.
Then Lorie "touched up" the shelves,"
having painted them before they were even cut,
and started filling them up!
Functional.
Upcoming new baby has his crib on the other side of the room.
Now for the baby.
He's due this week!
