Christmas Holiday!

Ron and I drove to Utah for Christmas!
We like a good road trip and it was GOOD!

We visited the Kansas City Temple
and Liberty Jail on the way there.

 Din Din at the May's
Obviously some of the young ones were in the other room
at their little table.

Grandma and Grandpa with their 5 grandchildren
watching a movie about the birth of Christ.

It was FREEZING the whole time we were there.
So we spent some time in the cultural hall at the church -
riding all their new bikes!
Ready, set, go!!!!

Did I mention it was FREEZING the entire time we were there.
This is the view from the balcony of the condo.
The idea was to decorate that tree.
Good thing we didn't because we would have never seen the decorations -
it looked like this the whole time!
Seriously!

Kari, Bryon and Tyler
Well at least we caught one picture of someone opening a present.
Did I mention he gets a new brother in March?

 Mason and King

 Ashlyn and Audrie
We built a fort!

 Michael and Carter playing Legos

 Michael, King and Ron
We had a few projects on the condo while we were there.
Ron reinforced the cabinet under the kitchen sink.

Good-bye to all the pink stripe wallpaper in the downstairs bathroom
Now it's blue with paneling.
Much nicer for those college men!
Michael was a big help!
They also put in a new kitchen light
so  Grandma Sally could have her pink one in Georgia.

Ashlyn started dancing while Michael was playing the piano
and soon everybody was dancing.

 Carter Man

 Audrie

 Tyler playing the drums!
Notice the super hero cape - helps him play the drums you know!

 Kinglsey at the May's.
Notice the kitchen flooring in this pic because it's GONE in the next...

Karon, Lorie and Kari
Out with the old flooring to make way for the new...

 Bryon, Karon and Ron
laying the flooring right on top of the old!

Must stop for lunch even if the kitchen is in dis-oray.
Carter, Audrie, Tyler and Ashlyn

Ron, Karon and Ike (Brad's dad)

 Ike, Brad and Ron

Ah,  Beautiful!

It was  -7 the day we drove out.
Our Honda Odyssey with over 200,000 miles on it purred right along
although it had been traumitized with the cold and the inside lights went funky,
but they started working once we got into warmer weather.
Lorie and King decided to come home with us - new post with pics coming.
We brought a van full of things back for Grandma Sally.
Juston will be home in 4 days, just sayin'.

How nice that everyone worked on the flooring together. You have some way cute little grandkids that are really growing. Glad you had a good trip. :)
