Grandma Sally Moves In

Sally's Suite is complete!

I know the family is interested

so here are some pics!

 

The POD is coming Friday.

No wait, it will be delayed until Sat. morn.

Now it won't be there any sooner than 3:00 Sat.

and it's possible it will arrive Monday.

Not good - all the men will be at work on Mon.

Driver calls about 11:30 Sat.

and says he will be there in 20 minutes.

Scramble to get everybody there!

You can count on MY FAMILY to show up pronto!

That thing was unpacked lickity-split

and my sis has all those pics.

Ok fam, imagine you're walking down

the basement stairs... here is your view...

 

The wall color really is peachy

like you see at the bottom of the stairs.

Mom loves the color - blends very well with her pink! 

She had to bring that beautiful light with her

but we really don't have a place for it yet. 

 

 You round the corner to the left

and see this lovely sight!

Ron will be building her some shelves in the corner

so I guess he really isn't done yet.

Mom is VERY tidy and will have those

blankets all folded beautifully, eventually.

 

Keep turning left and you see her hallway -

it's nice and wide! 

Some wheels broke off her sewing table - another job for Ron.

Once that's fixed all those drawers go inside

and maybe we'll eventually be able to fit it in her sewing room!

 

 Ah, the sewing room...and her closet.

The first sewing machine is on the left

with the pink tapestry on top

(it will eventually go on the wall).

That little dresser - you guessed it - full of sewing supplies!

Notice there is no door knob on the door.

Somehow the door got locked and closed

during the move-in...and to top it off, it broke.

New door handle will be coming - thanks Ron!

 

 Swing your view slightly right and you see

the 2nd sewing machine  - sort of.

Can you imagine it there - it hasn't been mounted yet.

Eventually all that fabric will be neatly folded

(or rolled on mini bolts and placed like books).

I will post another pic when that it is done.

 

Go into her sewing room and turn left and you

see her closet.  Not enought pink - I know!

She wants it open like this - no doors!

 

 The bathroom is not complete!

Wendy has some finishing touches yet to add.

 

Now you enter the main room. 

She has a double door that her company

can access from the walkway around the house.

That burgandy rug is not staying -

it's there until she gets just the right one.

The blue rug is supposed to be in the hallway

but you never know,

we can change our minds!

 

 Turn right and you see her kitchen, desk and computer area.

She will be looking for just the right bar stools.

 

Turn left and you see her living room/ bedroom area.

 

And then the closet under the stairs has all the toys

for the great-grandchildren -

well, there's a few others things in there too.

 

It was less than 24 hours ago when her things arrived!

Looking good!
