Certainly he got to use some of his SKILLS but we haven't had too much time to talk with him since he's been home. Get a load of this schedule...
- Get home about 3:00 PM, shower and leave for work by 3:30. Work from 4:00-11:00 then come home and crash! Yes, he was slightly sleep deprived. He only has 2 pair of jeans and he had to wear jeans to work so off he went in the same pair of pants he'd come home in - ug!
- Next morning - sleep in (if you can call 8:00 sleeping in). Work 9-1 at the YMCA, sleep, work 5-8 at BBStreet. (I was at a going away party for some friends until midnight so we didn't get to talk that night)
- Today - work from 7:45 AM-7:00 PM (he's not home yet)
So we haven't had too much time to talk but we've learned a few things...
- He loved it!
- Slept in his hammock all 3 nights but the first night he froze because he gave his sleeping bag to someone who needed extra cushioning. He got 2 hours of sleep that night.
- He was the Big Brother in his family (that's a first for him) and did a stellar job (we got that info from other people). Bishop and Sister Moore were his Ma and Pa.
- Went missing during the fun and games 3rd day. The hunt was on to find him. Busted - sound asleep in his hammock! Ha!
- They hiked about 9 miles the first day pushing and pulling the handcart
- They hiked about 13-14 miles the 2nd day with said handcart. This was NOT flat ground - lots of up and down.
- No sun screen needed - lots of trees for shade
- No rain until the 3rd day when they were camped
- Burnt stew the 1st night but he ate it anyway
- Easily stayed under the 17 pound limit, helps to have a sleeping bag that weighs 35 ounces

Wow! That sounds so great! Trek sure was an amazing experience. I'm so glad he got to do it again! What a busy guy!
(And I'm sure your helping him get LOTS of hours wherever he is working) :)
Be glad they didn't do trek this week. We had youth confernce and it was 95 every day. At least we were in air conditioned cabins and went white water rafting. It was awesome.
