Every 2 years we have a Hancock reunion!
Ron's mother, Vivian Fern Hancock, was the oldest of 5 children
and the descendants of these 5 children get together ever even year.
We love spending time with these wonderful people,
including Ron's sisters and all the nieces and nephews.
All 3 of Ron's brothers are in heaven
but we enjoy seeing their posterity whenever we can!
This year we were in Midway Utah where Vivian was born!
Here is the home she was born in...
Ron with his cousins, Aaron and Jerry Todd!
We stayed at The Homestead.
We each had our own little villa but there was this great location
where we set up tables and chairs and at any
given time, some of us were sitting there visiting.
Aunt Vi is Ron's only remaining aunt - we adore her.
This is the first year ALL of our children were able to join us
during the day for some part of the reunion.
Here we are at the gathering spot
enjoying our youngest grandchild, Wendy Cheney!
The little gazebo close by is where Olivia set up a face painting station.
Luke and King are in the background.
When Isais and Alex and Colleen got back from their ATV excursion
(and near death experience - literally)
they met us at the gathering place.
Love these people!
Colleen put this whole event together!
This four-some went on a hike one morning - great company!
Doug, Ron, Karie and KayLynn
Climbing these boulders was so much fun and it gave us a glorious view of the valley.
One night we ate in the Homestead Restaurant
and the food was fantastic!
There's that sweet Aunt Vi
There was a swimming pool there that everyone enjoyed.
We also had a lovely luncheon all together!
Here's the grandchildren all at one table, except for King and Wendy...
Our entire family was there except for Mason
who was off working hard in Portland.
Well, Wendy was taking a nap so she missed the picture as well.
At the end we mingled and chatted and visited!
We love our family!
There were several relatives that usually come that couldn't make it this year.
We hope to see them in 2018!
At the end of this event our immediate family found a place on the grass
and chatted about my dad who had passed away the week before.
It was a little memorial for my children
who honestly did not know their grandpa that well.
