San Diego Hancock Reunion

Our quick trip to San Diego was splendid!
It was a first for me.
We spent time with Ron's side of the family,
mostly with Colleen and Mindy and Nathan and Olivia and Luke.
But also with Ron's cousins and their children
and his one and only Aunt Vi.
We love them all!

Ron called Uncle Keith, his dad's brother
who lives in this area,
and walla,
he picked us up and took us to
this glorious place...

 San Diego Temple
of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

Yes, we spent some time inside those hallowed walls!

We didn't even know San Diego had this place...
 The Mormon Battalion Museum of
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints!
This statue outside is affectionately called "Levi"
by the sister missionaries there.
Levi Ward Hancock is one of Ron's ancestors
and was in the Mormon Battalion.
Here is Ron and Uncle Keith Cheney!

This place is VERY well done.
The presentation inside was remarkably interesting.
We enjoyed it so much!
Thank you Uncle Keith!
He is 90 years old but you would never know it!

We had a nice luncheon at the hotel!
Ron and I were the first to leave
and were so bummed when we got to the airport
and learned out flight had been delayed for hours!
We could have stayed longer!!!!!
 The children's table.

 Hancock's and Alex Todd

There's our sweet Aunt Vi on the left.
She is the only remaining one of Ron's mom's group.

More Hancock's and friends

Ron's parents and 3 brothers have all passed on.
He has two sisters that both live in California.
We loved being with Colleen
and surely missed Ellen who was too sick to come!

We'll see you all again in 2 years!
